Love Island’s Frankie Foster reportedly told friends he was not bothered about his romance with Samira Mighty hours before she left the villa to be with him.

According to The Sun, the 22-year-old was supposedly overhead telling pals that producers “played up” his fling with the dancer during their time on the show.

The business management student was reportedly overheard divulging details of his Love Island stint in Pret A Manager.

A customer told the publication: “He mentioned that obviously there's a lot of stuff that isn't shown and a lot more goes on... And his relationship was made out to be bigger than it actually was.

“He was shrugging it all off and looked really cheerful to be out of it. It was not like he was pining for Samira.”

However, just hours after the supposed revelation, Mighty called time on her Love Island journey to “follow her heart”, days after her partner Frankie was booted out of the villa in a shock dumping.

The professional dancer told the islanders that she had had a “tough couple of days,” before waking up and deciding “it’s my time to go”.

The show faced controversy after Mighty and Foster shared a night in the Hideaway, which was never aired.

Foster told the Metro: “We spent time in the Hideaway. We got a text and then the other islanders picked us two, and then everyone was cheering us on as we walked in.”

However, their scenes failed to make it to air despite other couples, including Wes and Megan's time together being shown.

A spokesperson for the hit reality show defended the lack of footage, blaming it on “time constraints”.

They told Standard Online: “As we have said before, it is not possible to show everything that happens in the villa due to time constraints.

“There are a number of couples whose time in the Hideaway has not been shown

“It is always our intention to produce a show that is a fair and accurate representation of life in the villa.”
