Love Island has sparked 303 complaints to Ofcom over Samira Mighty’s deleted Hideaway scenes.

Former islander Frankie Foster previously revealed that he and Samira spent the night in the Hideaway together, but viewers were not shown the footage.

Foster told the Metro: “We spent time in the Hideaway. We got a text and then the other islanders picked us two, and then everyone was cheering us on as we walked in.”

However, their scenes failed to make it to air despite other couples, including Wes and Megan's time together being shown.

A spokesperson for the hit reality show defended the lack of footage, blaming it on “time constraints”.

They told Standard Online: “As we have said before, it is not possible to show everything that happens in the villa due to time constraints.

“There are a number of couples whose time in the Hideaway has not been shown

“It is always our intention to produce a show that is a fair and accurate representation of life in the villa.”

A spokesperson for Ofcom said: “We are assessing these complaints against our broadcasting rules, before deciding whether or not to investigate.”

Mighty left the villa earlier this week in a shock exit to pursue her relationship with Foster.

Viewers were left devastated as she broke down in tears on telling her fellow islanders the news.

The complaints come after the reality show received over 500 complaints following Idris' decision to tell Laura that partner Jack had kissed Georgia, despite footage appearing to show her pulling him in for a kiss.

Ofcom also received a staggering 2,525 complains after Dani Dyer was shown a clip of her boyfriend Jack appearing to be shocked at the arrival of his ex-girlfriend Ellie Jones.

Standard Online has contacted Ofcom for comment.
