Lisa Armstrong has hit out at the “lies” being reported about her in the wake of her estranged husband’s new relationship.

Armstrong split from Ant McPartlin in January after 11 years of marriage. Earlier this month he was pictured with his PA Anne-Marie Corbett, who he is said to have grown close to during his recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.

Armstrong appeared to hit back at reports claiming she has been “difficult” and that she is demanding a £50 million divorce settlement, tweeting: “lies lies lies”.

The post came hours after she liked a tweet from a fan, which read: “Hmm me thinks there may be a bit of PR trying to make someone’s wife look like she is difficult and that the marriage was over for years so they look good in the public’s eyes again.”

Armstrong is reportedly considering a move to Los Angeles to “start a new life” after feeling she has “lost everything”.

A source told the Mail On Sunday: “She has been most loyal to Ant through what has not only been a difficult time for him, but for her also.

“She is doing a fantastic job of holding it together but it’s really, really hard. She feels like she has lost so much but is being so brave.

“As hard as it is, she now needs to start a new life. She felt for a long time that she has lost everything.

“Now she is trying to get through that and her trip to LA is to see what’s out there. Fingers crossed for her that she can find herself some brilliant work in the sunshine.”

Armstrong previously expressed her devastation at McPartlin’s new relationship, telling her followers Corbett was “my Friend and OUR Pa who I let into OUR home”.

She also revealed neither party informed her of their romance, claiming she found out through the media.

McPartlin and Corbett have yet to speak out on their relationship.
