James Corden has revealed he was 'kidnapped' by a group of Carpool Karaoke fans in London.

Corden, 37, said he was forced into a car by teenagers while crossing a street in the capital.

The group asked him to sing along to the radio as they made their own makeshift version of Corden's popular skit.

"I was crossing the street in London a few weeks ago and there were these four kids. They were like 18, 19," he told The Wrap.

"They sort of forced me to get in the car. They all had their camera phones out and we were just singing along to the radio. I was like, 'Am I being kidnapped?'"

Carpool Karaoke found fame on Corden’s The Late Late Show and sees the British star invite famous faces into his car for a sing-along.

Gwen Stefani, Chris Martin, Stevie Wonder, Sir Elton John, Mariah Carey, One Direction and Michelle Obama have all taken part, but Corden recently revealed that his favourite guests were the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Speaking to Variety he said: "They were so free in their discussion, and they were so open, and they had no care or time for thinking, 'Oh, how are people going to perceive it?'

“It was just they were exactly who they were, from start to finish, and I have to say the truth is I just found being in their company completely thrilling."

Britney Spears will be the next celebrity to join Corden in the passenger seat.

Spears - who recently released her new single Clumsy - announced the news on Twitter, writing: “Took a ride around LA with @JKCorden & did a little #CarpoolKaraoke Watch the @latelateshow on 8/25 to see it!.”
