As the world gets ready for the Royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Channel 4 are offering an insight into how Ms Markle's extended family are reacting to the nuptials.

In the hour-long programme, Amelia Dimoldenberg travels across the Atlantic to Ms Markle's home country to try and get her name on the guest list for the big day.

Dimoldenberg’s documentary with a comedic twist has the aim of bagging an invite to Windsor on Saturday, May 19, but the exploration of the frenzy surrounding the wedding over in the United States leads Dimoldenberg to ask: What does America think of the Royal wedding?

Ahead of tonight’s show, here is everything you need to know about Meet the Markles…

The one-off show will see Dimoldenberg – famous for her Chicken Shop Dates series – travel to the United States and cosy up to people from Ms Markle’s life, including past friends and extended family, with a view to working her way into the Markle’s inner-circle.

Dimoldenberg will also investigate the wide range of subjects – from the media to Ms Markle’s personal and professional life – that have surrounded the wedding, gauging what America thinks of Ms Markle joining the famous family.
