Woodward calls up squad extras

England boss Clive Woodward has called up three extra players to train with his 30-man autumn Test squad in Surrey next Monday.

Gloucester scrum-half Andy Gomarsall, Leicester prop Darren Garforth and his Tigers team-mate, hooker Dorian West, have received call-ups.

Gomarsall, a Six Nations reserve last season, missed out on selection for England's summer tour of South Africa after rupturing a knee ligament.

Gomarsall's fellow England international Garforth made the trip, featuring during midweek appointments with North-West Leopards, Griqualand West and Gauteng Falcons, while West won the first of his two caps as an England replacement against France in 1998.

Woodward's squad will train every Monday throughout October, before increasing the build-up towards facing world champions Australia at Twickenham on November 18, Argentina a week later and South Africa on December 2.

The Australia and South Africa Tests were today confirmed as 70,000 sell-outs.

"Such has been the scale of demand from our clubs, schools and members, that we have not been able to put any tickets on general sale for the Australia and South Africa Tests," said Rugby Football Union chief executive Francis Baron.

"Sales of corporate packages have also been excellent, with all boxes already sold out and only a limited number of ticketed hospitality packages remaining."

Tickets will be available for the Argentina game, going on general sale from October 11.
