Whitaker pulls a cracker

After a day's warm-up at the Olympia International Showjumping Championships, when Britain's Nick Skelton claimed the major prize, the competition starts in earnest today.

Skelton landed the British Eurosport Christmas Stakes with his Olympic hope Arko, and today is the crucial Christmas Cracker class, a preliminary round for Sunday's World Cup qualifier.

Michael Whitaker hopes to make an impact with his American-owned mare Fleur which, having had several different riders, is regaining confidence.
