Wellens leads Saints to win

Champions St Helens went two points clear at the top of Super League with a convincing 53-10 win over Catalans Dragons.

The French side opened the scoring through Julien Touxagaf's converted try, but all it succeeded in doing was to wake the hosts from their slumbers.

Paul Wellens got four tries with Jason Cayless, Leon Pryce, Keiron Cunningham, Matthew Gidley, Maurie Fa'asavalu and Francis Meli all crossing.
