Watford pay the cost

Mistakes cost Watford dearly at Reading, admitted Ray Lewington today.

A Neil Cox own goal in the 57th minute was the first costly error but Watford were soon on level terms through substitute Lee Cook three minutes later .Then Watford failed to clear their lines and Steve Sidwell scored the winner for the home side three minutes from time.

Manager Lewington said: "We gifted them both goals. But we worked hard and conceding the winner right at the end was hard to take."
