Vieira staying out of Pires row

Patrick Vieira today refused to get drawn into the dispute between Robert Pires and France coach Raymond Domenech.

Vieira's Arsenal team-mate has been overlooked by Domenech for the second successive game after complaining about being substituted during a World Cup qualifier in October.

But, today, Vieira said: "I don't want to go into this. I'm the team captain. I'm not the one who picks the players." Pires ignited a war of words with Domenech when he blamed the coach for not trusting him.
