Tranmere v Watford

14 April 2012

(3pm, Prenton Park).
Tickets: £15 (£3-£8 concs). Pay at turnstiles
Fact: Watford have won just one of their past 11 visits to Prenton Park
Recommended pub: The Prenton Park (Borough Road)
I imagine Graham Taylor felt like demanding a recount after his side lost to struggling Sheffield Wednesday. The Watford manager would have been a distinctly unhappy bunny after that shock result, particularly now that Fulham, whose match against Sheffield United was called off, have a game in hand and are only a point adrift. Loan signing Richard Jobson, who was credited with an own goal in that midweek defeat, will continue to deputise for Darren Ward, whose knee ligament injury is expected to keep him out for weeks rather than months.
VERDICT: HAPPIER HORNETS
