Testing time for the Kiwis

New Zealand's preparations for their three Test series against Australia suffered a blow today when the second day of their tour opener was washed out.

New Zealand were set to resume on 297 for eight in the four-day match against Queensland Academy of Sport but play was abandoned just after midday.

The First Test in Brisbane starts on 8 November at the Gabba.
