Nick Kyrgios arguably played the shot of the tournament as he continued his feud with Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon.

The pair were matched up in the third round on Centre Court and it had fans and pundits anticipating a hotly-contested match with their long-running war of words.

Kyrgios beat Nadal at Wimbledon as a wildcard five years ago and since then, the Australian has made the headlines for the wrong reasons.

The 24-year-old has been involved in heated debates with umpires and has often been accused of becoming disinterested during matches.

But nobody could accuse Kyrgios of that when he faced Nadal on Thursday.

After going a break down in the first set, the Australian knew he had to try something to get the psychological edge on Nadal.

As he went up for the serve at 40-0 up, Kyrgios prepared for the serve like any other - but shocked the crowd and his opponent when he delivered a pinpoint underarm serve.

With Nadal behind the baseline, he could only watch on in disbelief as Kyrgios' serve bounced over the net.

As the Spaniard turned to face his box, even he couldn't hide the slight grin as the crowd got up on their feet to applaud Kyrgios. He would have the last laugh, however, sealing the first 6-3.
