Suspensions could be a Hammer blow

A rash of suspensions threatens to unhinge West Ham's faltering bid to qualify for the First Division play-offs.

Goalkeeper Stephen Bywater will miss the two Easter matches, against Derby and Crystal Palace, after being banned for three matches while Tomas Repka and Nigel Reo-Coker also face suspensions in two weeks' time.

Repka will be banned for three matches following his 15th yellow card of the season during the 2-0 defeat at Reading on Saturday.

West Ham manager Alan Pardew said: "We have a lot of work to do to make the play-offs."
