Strauss scan after blow to head

England opener Andrew Strauss went to hospital for a precautionary scan after being hit on the head by a Brett Lee bouncer.

Strauss was felled when he ducked into a short ball which hit on the back of the helmet and caused him to collapse in a heap at the crease.

He was able to continue his innings after treatment from England physio Kirk Russell and was eventually out for 29, edging a Lee delivery to Adam Gilchrist.
