Setback for West Ham as Teddy loses fitness fight

West Ham will once again be without striker Teddy Sheringham for the trip to Wolves tomorrow.

Alan Pardew had hoped that Sheringham would have recovered from an ankle injury in time but the West Ham manager admitted today: "Teddy's not quite made it." Pardew has other problems with midfield player Nigel Reo-Coker still suffering from pleurisy and Carl Fletcher suspended.

Jimmy Walker is likely to keep his place in goal while Gavin Williams and Bobby Zamora are added to the squad.

"We have two tough games coming up with Wolves followed by Derby," said Pardew. "But if we can earn a reasonable points total from them, that will set us up nicely for what follows."
