Samoa to miss out on Tuilagi

Samoa's World Cup threat to England in Melbourne next month weakened as another player withdrew yesterday.

Henry Tuilagi capped his Leicester debut with a sensational try against London Irish on Saturday. But no sooner had the flanker made his mark in the East Midlands than he revealed that, like Wasps hooker Trevor Leota, he would not be heading for the southern hemisphere.

'I am not going,' said the 27-year-old. 'Financially it would have been a bit difficult. I want to settle down here with my family. I have been out of contract for five months and I have three kids, so I can't go.'
