Rovers hope to hold on to Roque as another Santa cruises into Blackburn

manager Paul Ince has signed up Julio Santa Cruz, the 18-year-old brother of striker Roque.



Ince has offered the free-agent striker, 18, a three-year contract.

and Manchester rivals and have both been pursuing Roque, 26. But Blackburn hope he will stay at Ewood with help from his brother.

Julio impressed ex-boss Mark Hughes in a trial last season and has done enough to shine for Ince.

Santa Cruz Snr said: 'The fact that it has all come together now is nothing to do with me staying here.

'But to have family over here gives you a better feeling because you don't feel so far away from Paraguay.'

Julio said: 'Sometimes people say "Oh, you are Roque's brother". I hope now people know me for who I am.'
