Rivaldo in Liverpool link

Rivaldo today declared his interest in joining Liverpool when he leaves AC Milan in January. He has also been linked with a possible move to Tottenham.

The 31-year-old Brazilian midfielder has previously stated he would like join a Premiership club.

"It's true that I had conversations with Liverpool, but the negotiations haven't finished yet," said Rivaldo in Brazil, where he is training for his country's next two World Cup qualifiers.

He added: "At this point I'm not thinking about my future. I'm just waiting for this year to finish, to see what happens next. In the national team I feel respected. That's a difference with what I feel in Milan."

Real Sociedad midfielder Javier de Pedro has also given a clear indication that his future lies in the Premiership.

The 30-year-old Spanish international's proposed move to Southampton fell through during the summer, but he said: "I have been waiting to hear from my club and I will be free to negotiate with who I want in January. If I had to choose somewhere to play, I'd have to go for England."
