Riise warning for Reds

13 April 2012

John Arne Riise has told his Liverpool team-mates they cannot afford to make any more mistakes if they want to stay in the Champions League.

The Merseysiders face Besiktas in Istanbul tonight in a Group D clash vital to both sides.

Liverpool have taken just one point from two group matches, while the Turkish side have lost both their games.

"We know what is at stake," said Riise.

"We have only one point and that's not good enough."

Riise says Saturday's 2-1 win at Everton could be the key to Liverpool's season, adding: "That could be the turning point.

"The win at Everton has given us something to build on and be positive about."
