£10,000 WORTH OF WORLD CUP BETS MUST BE WON BY 9PM TONIGHT!
Today is the first day of the World Cup, and to celebrate, we've got ten bets of £1,000 each, courtesy of Victor Chandler, that must be won by 9pm tonight.
Each of our ten winners will be able to place a £1,000 bet on the correct score for one of Sunday?s two key group matches:
Paraguay v South Africa
or Spain v Slovenia.
The ten lucky winners will be selected from all the entries received and the free bets can be placed up to 4pm on Saturday, 1 June.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Entrants must be 18 years or over. Only one entry per person. Only fully completed registration forms will be eligible for the draw. There is no cash alternative. There are 10 prizes of £1,000 single bets each. These bets must be placed on the correct score for either the Paraguay vs. South Africa or Spain vs. Slovenia matches on 2 June 2002. Free bets will not be accepted for any other matches. Entries will only be accepted on www.thisislondon.co.uk or via telephone to 0901 111 0158 (calls cost 25p, less than the price of a first class stamp). Winners will be notified by telephone before 12pm, Saturday 1 June. The free bet must be placed between 12pm and 4pm (BST) on Saturday 1 June. Full details of how to place the free £1,000 bet will be given to the winners. The winners will be the first 10 complete entries drawn at random from all entries received. The Editor's decision is final.
