Parker sent home from training

13 April 2012

The Scott Parker saga took another turn today when he was sent home from training again.

Standard Sport understands it was a joint decision between the player and Charlton manager Alan Curbishley.

The midfielder has been unsettled since Chelsea made the first of two offers last week. Curbishley dropped him for Saturday's victory at Everton and was hoping that following the rejection of the second offer of £7.5million, plus £1.5m depending on appearances, he would be in a better frame of mind.

Charlton do not have a match this weekend.
