Paolo's home comfort

Paolo Di Canio is to train with an Italian Fourth Division side next week in preparation for a possible move back home.

Di Canio, whose contract with West Ham is up, is due to arrive at the pre-season camp of Serie D side AC Savoia at Spoleto on Monday and spend a week with the squad.

The training camp is just a 45 minute drive from the home Di Canio's home in Terni. A spokesman for AC Savoia, who are based near Naples, said: "Paolo will join us at Spoleto for pre-season training for a week.

"It is an arrangement that he has agreed with the club president. He wants to keep in shape and as we are a short drive from his home it makes sense for him to join us."

Two of Di Canio's former sides, Napoli and Lazio, and newly promoted Siena are thought to be interested in signing him.
