Owen's pledge

Evening Standard14 April 2012

Michael Owen has vowed to keep fighting for a place in the Real Madrid starting line-up after coming off the bench to score again.

Owen scored the last goal in Real's 5-0 win over Levante in the 88th minute.

The England striker said: "It's hard to go on when you're already winning 4-0, but it's always good to score. If I want to get into the side this is what I have to do."

England captain David Beckham was on target from long-range, Ronaldo bagged a brace and Luis Figo was the other scorer.
