ParalympicsGB's medal haul climbed to 27 as their impressive start to the Rio Games continued on day two.

Another golden day for the Brits began in the velodrome with Sophie Thornhill and her pilot Helen Scott winning the B one-kilometre time-trial, while Jody Cundy added a cathartic win in the C4/C5 event, four years after his explosive reaction to being denied at London 2012.

Moments later Georgina Hermitage won the T37 100m final at the Olympic Stadium.

And in the next final Sophie Hahn claimed victory in the T38 100m final.

Britain's 10th gold soon followed in the swimming pool as 15-year-old Ellie Robinson won the S6 50m butterfly.

And Libby Clegg, with her guide Chris Clark, brushed aside a disqualification and subsequent reinstatement to win the T11 100m.

Jonnie Peacock, who won gold at London 2012, capped an impressive day with a Paralympic record time in the 100m T44 final.

But what's coming up on day three in Rio?

Coming up on Saturday

  • From 2.00pm: Sam Ingram (-90kg), Chris Skelley (-100kg), Jack Hodgson (+100kg) and Natalie Greenhough (-70kg) are in judkas action. 
  • 2.03pm: Airbus employee Andy Lewis, who made the decision to have his leg amputated in 2005 after years of complications following a motorcycle accident, is bidding to add Olympic gold to his triathlon world and European titles (PT2 class).
  • 3.20pm: Joe Townsend, who lost both legs serving with the Royal Marines, is representing goes just over an hour later in the triathlon. (PT1 class)
  • 3.45pm: Matt Skelhon will be hoping to feature in the R3 Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone final following the day's earlier qualification rounds (1.30pm)
  • 8.00pm: Micky Yule starts his Paralympic campaign in the in the men's -65kg powerlifting.
  • 9.54pm: Sarah Storey goes in the velodrome once again, this time in the 500m time trial, the weakest of her four events. She is up against Kadeena Cox, the athlete-cyclist aiming to become the first Brit to win medals in two different sports at one Games.
  • 10.06pm: Hannah Cockroft begins the defence of her double London 2012 golds in her first event, the T34 100m.
