Rory McIlroy rules but he is far from finished

Rory McIlroy will not ease off despite having won the European and US Tour money lists this season.

This week, the 23-year-old from Northern Ireland moved on to Hong Kong from the Singapore Open, where a closing 30ft eagle putt for third place on Sunday made him the youngest Order of Merit winner since Sandy Lyle in 1980.

“I’ve still got two events remaining this year and the goal is still to try and win at least once more before the end of the year,” said world No1 McIlroy (above). “I’ve got a healthy lead in the world rankings but with so many very good players on both sides of the Atlantic it will not be a time to rest on my laurels.”
