Novak on a roll after bad start

Third-seed Jiri Novak reached the quarterfinals at the Swiss Open in Gstaad by coming from behind to defeat France's Paul-Henri Mathieu 1-6, 6-2, 6-3.

Juan Ignacio Chela, the fifth-seed from Argentina, was also tested before beating Spaniard Feliciano Lopez 6-4, 6-7, 7-6.

Another Argentine, fourth-seed Gaston Gaudio, won 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 against Germany's Lars Burgsmuller to meet Stefan Koubek next.

Today, Wimbledon champion Roger Federer plays Jean-Rene Lisnard, of France.
