Murray bows out of doubles

12 April 2012

Jamie Murray and partner Liezel Huber crashed out of the mixed doubles in the second round of the Australian Open on Tuesday, losing on a champions tie-break to Andy Ram and Nathalie Dechy.

Murray and American Huber have had success together in the past, reaching the semi-finals at Wimbledon last year and the US Open final, while Murray won the 2007 mixed doubles title at the All England Club with Jelena Jankovic.

The fourth seeds won the first set on a tie-break but from then on were second best against the Israeli-French pair and were eventually beaten 6-7 (6/8) 6-2 10-4.
