Melzack is still chasing QPR

Queens Park Rangers supporter Brian Melzack today insisted his city-based consortium is still trying to buy the club.

The group has been trying to complete an £8.5 million deal for nine weeks but supporters and club officials, already relying on contingency plans to finish the season, have lost patience.

The main terms of the deal were agreed soon after talks began but Melzack has refused to disclose the problems his consortium have encountered.
