Mansell not lost drive to win

Twelve years after he won the world championship, Nigel Mansell's competitive juices are flowing nicely.

Mansell, 50, returns to the cockpit for tomorrow's special Formula One demonstration run down Regent Street and around Piccadilly Circus.

And after a test drive at Silverstone behind the wheel of a Jordan car he admitted: "I did a few laps and I went round some corners a bit quicker than I should."

Eight Formula One racers will take part tomorrow including a McLaren for David Coulthard, the Williams of Juan Pablo Montoya and the BAR of Jenson Button.

They will roar over a closedto-traffic circuit taking in the whole of Regent Street between Oxford Street and Pall Mall. Practice starts at 5pm, the drivers will parade in open-top vehicles at 5.45pm, then they take to their cars between 6pm and 8pm.
