Lewington banks on his new boys to turn it around

Johnnie Jackson and Paul Jones are expected to slot straight into the Watford starting line-up for the Boxing Day trip to Reading.

The Tottenham midfielder and Wolves keeper have been signed on a month's loan by manager Ray Lewington in a bid to freshen up his injury-ravaged squad and arrest a run of just one win in 16 league games.

Lewington said: "By and large, we have played really well and if it wasn't for the fact that we haven't converted chances we would most likely be five or six places higher."
