Leeds' keeper Ankergren escape ban after throwing lighter into crowd

Leeds United breathed a sigh of relief last night when goalkeeper Casper Ankergren was let off with a £750 fine by the FA.

Ankergren had pleaded guilty to throwing a cigarette lighter into the crowd after the Swindon match and the club feared a lengthy ban but after a personal hearing, he was fined and warned as to his future conduct.
