Ledley passed fit to play

Ledley King has given Spurs a scare ahead of tomorrow's derby against Arsenal after having a scan on his injured knee.

The defender went to hospital after training yesterday for the scan on the knee that has been causing problems for the past few days.

King was carrying the injury before Tuesday's 3-0 Carling Cup win at Burnley and suffered a reaction afterwards. No serious damage showed up on the scan and he trained as normal today. Coach Martin Jol said: "We are hoping he will be okay."

King's absence would have further stretched a defence that Jol believes is jinxed on the left-side.

However, Erik Edman and Anthony Gardner are in contention for the left-back spot after returning from injury in the reserves on Wednesday.

Stephen Kelly (thumb), Thimothee Atouba (knee), Goran Bunjevcevic (leg) and Sean Davis (knee) are all missing. Jol said: "Edman is 50-50 and we hope he will be fine, because it seems we are jinxed on that side."
