Lance warns rivals

Lance Armstrong said he would not be taking it easy today even though it was a rest day in the Tour de France.

Five-times Tour champion Armstrong said, on a two-hour training ride around Limoges, said: "I'm going to attack. You have to train fairly hard because you're body is used to riding hard every day. You can't take a complete day off the bike. That would be a disaster."

The American is sixth in the standings, 9min 35sec behind Frenchman Thomas Voeckler. Norway's Thor Hushovd won yesterday's eighth stage in Quimper.

Meanwhile, Australian cyclist Sean Eadie faces possible expulsion from the Olympics for dealing in performance enhancing drugs.
