It's child's play for Henry

Henry Lawrence is a little lad with big ideas and he was due back at the Henley Royal Regatta today to cox the Lea Rowing Club crew against the German Hamberger Ruderklub in the second round of the Thames Challenge Cup.

He has already helped Lea to a first-round victory over Bradford-on-Avon.

But what makes it all the more exciting for 6st Henry is that on normal days he is a pupil at Sussex House preparatory school in Chelsea's Sloane Square.

It is hardly surprising that, at nine years old, master Lawrence is the youngest competitor in recent regatta history.
