Henman struggles in Denmark

13 April 2012

Tim Henman, the top seed, overcame a mid-match slump to beat Slava Dosedel 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 in the first round of the Copenhagen Open.

The British No 2 lost his service twice in the first set but recovered to win it 6-4. However, he lost his way in the second set and Czech Dosedel took full advantage to level the match.

At the start of the third set Henman broke serve immediately and Dosedel crumbled.

Henman will face Switzerland's George Bastl, who squeezed past Israel's Noam Behr 6-7, 7-6, 6-3 in the second round.

Marc Rosset of Switzerland, launched the defence of his Marseille Open title with a 2-6, 6-2, 7-5 first-round victory over Italian veteran Gianluca Pozzi.
