Hearn's pay rap

Leyton Orient chairman Barry Hearn has hit out at players' boss Gordon Taylor's massive pay rise.

The PFA chief executive, already the highest-paid union chief, saw his salary increase by £165,000 to more than £600,000 last year, while 650 professionals face up to the prospect of unemployment.

Hearn said: "I just wonder in the current climate, when so many of his members are looking for jobs, how he can possibly justify an award like that."
