Hatton promises quick end

13 April 2012

Ricky Hatton intends to get Eamonn Magee out of the way as quickly as possible on Saturday night in order to his attention to other sporting matters.

Hatton is in supremely confident mood ahead of his sixth defence of the World Boxing Union light-welterweight title against the Belfast man in Manchester.

After celebrating a win he intends to hang around for England's opening World Cup match against Sweden before jetting over to Memphis watch Lennox Lewis's world heavyweight title fight with Mike Tyson.

Hatton said: "I can't wait to beat Magee. Then I can relax and watch the football and fly out for Lewis-Tyson. It should be a nice little weekend break."
