Hammers swoop for Brevett
West Ham have signed Fulham defender Rufus Brevett.
Left-back Brevett, who has been a regular in Fulham's team this season, was out of contract at the end of the season and the relegation-threatened Upton Park club have signed him for an undisclosed fee.
The 32-year-old could go straight into West Ham's team for the Premiership clash against Liverpool on Sunday.
Nigel Winterburn has been playing with a broken wrist and Brevett's arrival means the veteran defender can now undergo an operation which will keep him out for a month.
