Christian Horner latest: Formula One urge quick resolution over Red Bull investigation

The controversy is overshadowing the team’s build-up to the new F1 season, which starts in Bahrain next month

Formula One bosses have urged Red Bull to come to a quick resolution over their investigation of team principal Christian Horner.

Horner has been accused of inappropriate and controlling behaviour by a female colleague, allegations which he denies.

The investigation, launched by Red Bull head office in Austria, has overshadowed the build-up to the defending champions’ season.

In a statement, F1 said: “We hope that the matter will be clarified at the earliest opportunity after a fair and thorough process. We will not comment further at this time.”

Red Bull brought in an external lawyer, who questioned Horner this month. It proved the main talking point at the team’s car launch last week, at which Horner again repeated his denials of any wrongdoing.

He said: “I obviously deny the allegations that have been made, but I’m going through a process and fully respect that process.”
