Who will win the Premier League title after Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City lose?

James Benge2 March 2016

Despite being held to a draw at home to West Brom, Leicester somehow found their advantage at the top of the table extended as their rivals fell apart on Wednesday.

A 2-2 draw for the league leaders had seemingly opened the door for the chasing pack, with Tottenham heading to Upton Park knowing that a victory would have taken them top of the league for the first time this season.

However West Ham rose to the occasion on their final meeting with their rivals at the Boleyn Ground, as the in-form Michail Antonio struck the only goal against a Tottenham side looking unusually tired.

As West Ham struck home Arsenal were well on top across London, outclassing Swansea. Soon their advantage was on the scoreboard, with the excellent Joel Campbell putting the Gunners ahead.

From there it all fell apart. Arsenal switched off for the equaliser, Wayne Routledge slotting home as Per Mertesacker and Hector Bellerin dawdled.

As the Emirates grew increasingly frustrated Petr Cech made his first mistake in several months, pushing a free-kick on to Ashley Williams for a crucial Swansea winner.

It seemed perfectly set for Manchester City to close the gap, but they fell apart away to Liverpool, who ran out commanding 3-0 winners.

Manchester United’s victory over Watford through a last-gasp Juan Mata free-kick has certainly brought them back into the hunt for the top four, would a ten-point gap to first place be unbridgeable for Louis van Gaal’s men?
