There's no place like home and West Ham appear to have settled into their new surroundings at the Olympic Stadium with minimal fuss this afternoon.

Slaven Bilic's men trained at the ground for the first time as they step up their preparations for Thursday night's Europa League clash against Slovenian minnows NK Domale.

The newly-laid turf was in superb condition as the Hammers took part in a series of drills to adjust to the club's new base.

The stadium hosted the London Anniversary Games less than two weeks ago but has now been converted in football mode, with a layer of retractable seating that covers the athletic track.

Capacity is set to stand at a huge 54,000 tomorrow and Bilic believes the ideal way to kick off a new era in east London is with a win.

“We have to adjust to the new Stadium and there is no better way to adjust than to win a game," he told the club's official website.

"The wins reduce the time necessary to adjust and hopefully we will start on Thursday. The players are looking forward to it.

“It will not feel like last year, but when we go out in front of 54,000 fans I am sure we will feel at home," he added.

Domzale hold a 2-1 advantage from the first leg but West Ham will be hopeful they can progress even though the game has come too early for Dimitri Payet, James Collins and Angelo Ogbonna.
