West Brom manager Alan Pardew says he is yet to receive an offer from Arsenal or any other suitor for Jonny Evans but admitted the club are prepared to sell the defender.

Arsenal are keen to bring in the Northern Ireland international, who has also been linked with a move to Manchester City, though their focus appears to have switched to Aymeric Laporte.

Evans was also targeted by the Gunners in August but the collapse of Shkodran Mustafi’s move to Inter Milan meant Arsenal held off on any move.

It was reported earlier today that they had offered £10million plus right-back Mathieu Debuchy to West Brom but Pardew denied receiving that bid, though he did reaffirm that the Baggies would consider selling the 30-year-old.

“That's not a deal that's been put to us... someone has released that and it's not true,” Pardew said.

“Jonny is still at the football club and we haven't had a bid put to us that is anywhere near acceptable.

“We've had a couple of enquiries of what we would be looking for, and the answer has been 'we're not going to tell you'. You make a bid and you'll get some gauge.”

Pardew added: “What I will confirm is what you already know, Jonny Evans is a target for other clubs, we might sell if the price is right, that's that deal, everything else is pure speculation.”

West Brom could reportedly lose Evans for as little as £3m if they are relegated this season. Pardew’s side currently find themselves 19th in the Premier League, three points from safety.
