Tottenham vs Arsenal: North London derby tickets being sold for close to £800 online

Tickets for Saturday’s north London derby are changing hands on internet sites for nearly £800 – close to 10 times the cost of the most expensive face-value price.

For Category ‘A’ games, of which the derby against Arsenal is one, the highest price Tottenham charge is £81. Yet on unaffiliated websites, fans are being invited to fork out as much as £780 to attend the most eagerly-anticipated north London clash for many seasons.

Unofficial ticket exchanges are not authorised to sell tickets on behalf of clubs and it is illegal under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act.

Tottenham have a partnership with StubHub, the ticket exchange company, which allows season-ticket holders to sell their seat to other fans for matches they cannot attend at a price they decide.
