Tottenham transfer news: Georges-Kevin Nkoudou posts picture in Spurs training gear as he awaits move

Tottenham target Georges-Kevin Nkoudou remains trapped in transfer limbo with mere hours to go until the closure of the transfer window.

The Marseille winger has been training at Hotspur Way over recent days and has even posted a picture of himself in Spurs training gear on social media as he awaits a £9.9million switch to the Premier League.

Nkoudou is not the only forward yet to learn their fate with the transfer window set to shut tomorrow. Clinton Njie is expected to move in the opposite direction, joining Marseille on loan, but the sale of the Ligue 1 side has slowed progress on both deals.

That may be set to change, with former Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team owner Frank McCourt on course to buy the club. Nkoudou will hope any deal frees him from the purgatory he finds himself in and allows Tottenham to get the deal over the line.

Spurs have been conducting their transfer business on the assumption that new signings would arrive to reinforce Mauricio Pochettino’s options in wide areas. Nacer Chadli has been allowed to move to West Brom for around £13m whilst the club are listening to offers for Heung-min Son.

Last week Tottenham also made a move for winger Wilfried Zaha, but Crystal Palace rejected a bid worth an initial £12m. Chairman Steve Parish dismissed the offer as “ridiculous” and vowed not to be parted with one of Alan Pardew’s most important first-team players.
