Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen is set to walk a disciplinary tightrope during this weekend's Premier League clash against Leicester City.
The Belgium international has played every minute of Tottenham's domestic this campaign but has already picked up a total of four bookings.
Vertonghen had his name taken against Crystal Palace and Liverpool in August before also being cautioned in recent draws with West Brom and Bournemouth.
As a result the 29-year-old is just one booking away from an automatic one-game suspension ahead of Saturday's encounter with the champions.
If Vertonghen falls foul of the officials at White Hart Lane tomorrow he will be ruled out of the upcoming north London derby against Arsenal.
Vertonghen's absence for the short trip across the capital would be regarded as a blow but it could take on greater significance if Toby Alderweireld does not return to fitness in time to face Arsene Wenger's side.
Such a scenario would leave Mauricio Pochettino with Kevin Wimmer, Eric Dier and Cameron Carter-Vickers for a fixture which could prove to be a defining moment in the title race.
The first booking amnesty of the season is not until December 31, meaning Vertonghen has nine games to get through without punishment to avoid a ban.
