Tottenham could swoop for Craig Bellamy

Unsettled: Craig Bellamy is thought to be unhappy at Manchester City following the sacking of Mark Hughes

Tottenham could take advantage of the player unrest at Manchester City to renew their interest in Craig Bellamy next month.

Bellamy is thought to be seriously considering his future at Eastlands after the sacking of Mark Hughes last weekend and subsequent appointment of Roberto Mancini, with the striker upset at the way in which his former boss was shown the door.

Although Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has been told he must sell players before buying in the January transfer window, striker Roman Pavlyuchenko has made it clear he wants to leave White Hart Lane. It is understood that the club would consider offers for team captain Robbie Keane.

Redknapp bid for Bellamy 12 months ago when the Wales forward was at West Ham, but lost out to City.

Meanwhile, Spurs winger Niko Kranjcar believes England boss Fabio Capello should put his faith in Aaron Lennon at the World Cup. He said: "Should Capello pick him? Oh yes. I hope he will and I believe he will.

"At the moment, he is probably the best player in the Premier League in a one-on-one situation. Once he is isolated on the right flank, he will beat his marker for sure."
