Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has been nominated for the Premier League’s Manager of the Month for January.

Spurs went unbeaten throughout the month and started in electric form with a 4-1 win at Watford.

Undoubtedly the highlight of the month came on January 4 when Spurs halted Chelsea’s 13 match Premier League winning run at White Hart Lane, Dele Alli scoring both in a 2-0 win.

Pochettino has seen his side’s momentum checked somewhat in the latter stages of the month. Though the fight-back to claim a 2-2 draw at Manchester City was hugely creditable for Spurs the 0-0 draw that followed at Sunderland was hugely disappointing for Tottenham.

The 44-year-old is joined on the shortlist by Everton’s Ronald Koeman, Stoke’s Ronald Koeman and Paul Clement, who won three of his first four games at Swansea.

Notably January’s shortlist is without Chelsea boss Antonio Conte. The Italian had won the award over the last three months – the first hat-trick in the league’s history.
