Tiemoue Bakayoko has arrived in London to complete his £40million move to Chelsea.

The Monaco star tweeted a good morning message to his followers with accompanying emojis signifying his arrival in the capital.

The 22-year-old arrived by Eurostar from Paris and is expected to undergo a medical with the Blues before becoming their second major signing of the summer.

But Bakayoko's tweet upon arrival in England sent some Chelsea fans into a panic as Twitter tracked the player's location to Manchester.

He has since deleted the post.

It comes after Manchester United made a late play to hijack Chelsea's move for the the France international after already swooping to sign Antonio Conte's priority target Romelu Lukaku.

But Standard Sport understands Chelsea have won the race for Bakayoko and expect to complete a deal for the midfielder following Friday's medical.

That hasn't stopped Chelsea fans getting worked up. Twitter user @AshAnother posted: "Bakayoko tweets and sets his location to Manchester then deletes it. I'm done with the games now: it's getting boring!"

And @Ife_ID_ added: "Why is Bakayoko tweeting from Manchester? Better not be what I'm thinking."

Bakayoko later tweeted red and white emojis - the colours of current club Monaco as well as United - to send Chelsea fans into further panic.
