Thierry Henry believes Antonio Conte has made all of the Chelsea players - including David Luiz - "look good rather than suspicious" by implementing a 3-4-3 formation at the club.
Chelsea re-signed defender Luiz on transfer deadline day last summer as Conte looked to bolster his back line, but the acquisition raised eyebrows from some fans as they questioned whether the Brazilian had improved significantly since leaving Stamford Bridge in 2014.
However, Henry thinks Luiz matured a lot while in France and believes Conte's 3-4-3 formation, in which the 29-year-old plays in the middle of Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta, has helped the defender become a solid addition to Chelsea's defence.
During an interview with Arsenal fan and comedian Jack Whitehall, Henry told Sky Sports: "You have to give Antonio Conte credit because he put a tactic out there that was going to make all the players look good rather than suspicious.
"Basically putting the man in the middle, and this is not the guy that needs to step out. Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta go and he has to stay there, so he knows even more so than before that he cannot make a mistake.
"Also, the guy can mature. If you saw me play when I was 20 I was a loose cannon, I used to run everywhere and not do what the game was asking me to do at times, then at 28 I wasn't the same player. So you have to give credit to him too.
"Yes he made mistakes when he arrived in the Premier League, but he did well at Paris Saint-Germain, then you look at what he won. He won the Champions League, the Europa League, went to PSG and won trophies, and he is coming back and might win the league.
"So he must be doing something right."
